About Ron

Ron Mears has deep roots in Yakima, where hard work, family and music still matter. He started at 14 in a local bluegrass band and quickly became known as a standout guitarist. More than four decades later, he's still doing what he loves: playing live and connecting with people.

Ron has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the business: Charlie Daniels in Elko, Nevada; Keith Urban at the SunDome in Yakima; and Michael Peterson and Parmalee at the Toyota Center in the Tri-Cities.

Guitar is at the core of every show. Ron moves easily from classic country to modern hits, classic rock to bluegrass, and blues to fresh takes on familiar favorites, with his own songs mixed in. On stage he plays acoustic and electric guitar, banjo and dobro.

Today Ron performs as Ron Mears Live, solo or with a band. Erica Mears adds percussion and professional line-dance instruction, so events can combine live music with an interactive dance floor.
